The mission of the chemistry program is to guide students in the development of their chemical knowledge and skills through a quality course of study emphasizing experiential learning with a professionally engaged faculty current in their field who help students successfully integrate into chemically related professions. This major also expands the student’s horizons and further initiates them into chemically-related professions by involving them in off-campus field trips, short courses, professional meetings, and summer research and internship opportunities.
